Darjeeling, Kalimpong, and Gangtok are three beautiful hill towns located in the state of West Bengal and the Indian state of Sikkim. These towns are popular tourist destinations due to their scenic beauty, pleasant climate, and unique cultural heritage.
Darjeeling, also known as the 'Queen of the Hills,' is a famous hill station situated at an altitude of 2,050 meters. It is known for its sprawling tea gardens, panoramic views of the Himalayas, and the famous Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can take a ride on the historic toy train, explore the tea gardens, and visit the Tiger Hill viewpoint to witness a beautiful sunrise over the snow-capped peaks.

Kalimpong is another charming hill town located in the eastern Himalayas. It is known for its orchids, rare cacti, and beautiful nurseries. Visitors can also explore the town's ancient monasteries, churches, and temples, such as the Tharpa Choling Monastery and the Zang Dhok Palri Phodang monastery. The Deolo Hill and the Durpin Hill are two famous viewpoints that offer stunning panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys.
Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim, is situated at an altitude of 1,650 meters. It is known for its unique blend of traditional Buddhist culture and modern cosmopolitan lifestyle. The town's major attractions include the Enchey Monastery, the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, and the Ganesh Tok viewpoint. Visitors can also take a cable car ride to the Tashiling Secretariat to witness stunning views of the city.
Sikkim Darjeeling tour, Apart from these three towns, the region also has several other attractions. The Tsomgo Lake, situated at an altitude of 3,753 meters, is a beautiful glacial lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains. The Nathula Pass, situated at an altitude of 4,310 meters, is a high-altitude mountain pass that connects India with China. Visitors can also explore the Kanchenjunga National Park, which is home to several endangered species such as the snow leopard, red panda, and Himalayan black bear.
The best time to visit these hill towns is between March and May and between September and December when the weather is pleasant, and the skies are clear. During the winter months, the region experiences heavy snowfall, making it difficult to explore the towns and the surrounding areas.
Day 01: Arrival NJP /IXB To Pelling
Meet & Greet on arrival at IXB & transfer to Pelling , Upon arrival Check in at hotel , Evening free for own activities , O/n at hotel
Day 02: Pelling Local Tour , Transfer To Gangtok
After breakfast start for half day sight seeing which includes Rimbi Water Falls, Kanchenjunga falls, Khecheopalri Lake & Rimbi Rock Garden, back to the hotel for check out and transfer to Gangtok , Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 03: Excursion To Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir & Back
A day excursion to Tsomgo Lake (departure at 0900 to 0930 AM hrs ) - situated at a height of 3,780 Mts. with an average depth of 50 ft. & Baba Mandir - The shrine maid in memory of sepoy Harbahajan Sing , Back to Gangtok.O/n stay at hotel.
Day 04: Gangtok To Darjeeling
After breakfast transfer from Gangtok To Darjeeling - Darjeeling is one of the most magnificent hill the world , On arrival Check in at hotel , Afternoon proceed for visit 7points ,covering The Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, PNZ Zoological Park (closed on Thursday) Tenzing Rock, Tibetans Refuge Centre (closed on Sunday), Tea Garden (outer view), Rope way ( Only view point ) . Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 05: Darjeeling To Kalimpong.
Early Morning at 0400 AM visit Tiger Hill ,famous for sunrise over Mt. Kanchendzonga,on way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and back to hotel. After breakfast transfer to Kalimpong , Afternoon proceed for half day sight seeing, Visit Dello, Pine View Nursery, Dr. Grahams Home , Mangal Dham , Rishi Bankim Park , Zelepla View point and Buddhist monastery ,Back to hotel , O/n stay at Kalimpong.
Day 06: Kalimpong To IXB/NJP Drop.
After breakfast transfer to IXB / NJP for return journey - Tour Ends.
