Char dham yatra from Haridwar, Chardham Yatra is one of the most popular pilgrimage tours in India that takes devotees to four sacred shrines located in the Himalayan state of Uttarakhand. The four shrines that form the Chardham circuit are Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath. The journey to these shrines is considered highly auspicious and is believed to provide spiritual liberation to the pilgrims.

The Yatra usually starts from the city of Haridwar, from where pilgrims embark on a journey to Yamunotri, the source of the Yamuna river. The next stop on the circuit is Gangotri, which is the origin of the Ganges river. The third shrine on the circuit is Kedarnath, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located at a height of 3,583 meters above sea level. The final destination of the Yatra is Badrinath, which is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is located at a height of 3,133 meters above sea level.

The journey to these shrines is not an easy one, and pilgrims have to trek through rugged terrain and harsh weather conditions. However, the journey is considered highly rewarding, and pilgrims believe that it provides them with an opportunity to connect with the divine.

The best time to undertake the Chardham Yatra is between May and October, as the weather during this time is relatively mild and the roads are open. The Yatra attracts millions of devotees every year, and the state government of Uttarakhand has taken various measures to ensure the safety and comfort of the pilgrims. This includes providing medical facilities, accommodation, and transportation.

Day 01: Haridwar – Barkot (180 Kms/ 7-8 hrs)

On arrival at Haridwar train station, after meet and greet we will start our drive to Barkot via Dehradun and Mussoorie - The queen of Hills. During our trip you will get the opportunity to see some important attractions and will continue our journey to Barkot. Upon arrival at your hotel in the evening, check and relax. Dinner and overnight stay in your hotel in Barkot.

Day 02: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot (30 kms Drive by Coach/ 12 Kms by Jeep at your own / 6 kms trek.)

After an early breakfast today, lets start our journey for the first dham of Char Dham Yatra - Yamunotri. We will go for a 30 km drive towards Hanuman Chatti where you can hire Jeeps to Janki Chatti. After reaching Janki Chatti, begin 6 km trek towards Yamunotri. After paying homage, trek back to Hanuman Chatti in the evening. From here our driver will take you back to Barkot, dinner and  overnight stay in the Barkot Hotel.

Day 03: Barkot – Uttarkashi (Drive 100 Kms, 04-05 hrs)

Today after breakfast get ready for 90 km long drive to Uttarakashi - situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, it is home to many famous ashrams and temples. During our trip to Uttarakashi, we have a chance to visit the Prakateshwar Cave - a natural limestone cave that is famous for having formations resembling the holy Shivling. later, after arrival in Uttarakashi, check into your hotel. In the evening visit the Vishwanath Temple. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel.

Day 04: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100 km one side)

Breakfast in the hotel and drive to Gangotri early in the morning. Once reached, take a holy dip in the pious water of the holy river Ganges, (also known as Bhagirathi). Perform the respective rituals and bask in the splendid and serene surroundings of the place. Later in the afternoon drive back to your hotel in Uttarkashi. Dinner and overnight stay in the hotel. 

Day 05: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi (223 kms. Drive 9 – 10 hrs)

After an early breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. A late lunch is scheduled en-route at Molgarh/Tilwara/Ghansali. In the way, see the heritage city of Tehri slowly sinking into the mighty waters of the Holy River Ganges due to the construction of the Tehri Dam. Take a lunch break and then continue your journey with the wonderful view of the beautiful river Mandakini. You will reach Guptkashi by evening. Upon arrival check in to a hotel and have a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 06 : Guptakashi – Kedarnath- Guptkashi (Via Helicopter/ Treak Same day return )

In the morning drive to Phata/ Sirsi/ Guptkashi Helipad and fly to Kedarnath ji temple, upon arrival Pay homage at the holy shrine and then in the evening visit the Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi, located just behind the temple later return to Guptkashi by trek.

Day 07: Guptkashi- Govindghat/ Badrinath ji  (200 Kms Drive)

Post breakfast proceed to Badrinath ji  via Guptkashi- Chopta Route, overnight stay in Badrinath hotel.

Day 08: Badrinath ji –Rudrapryag ( 160 Kms)

Early morning drive to Badrinath ji Temple, There are various temples that will fall in the way like the Narsingh Temple and Adi Shankaracharya Samadhi. Visit these shrines for attaining peace of mind and then continue the drive to Badrinath. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. Later, take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund, followed by a visit to the main temple. In the late afternoon, visit the Mana Village, the last village before the Tibetan border, Bheem Pul, Byas Cave & Ganesha Cave. Drive down to Rudraprayag.

Day 09: Rudraprayag – Haridwar  via Deopryag & Rishikesh (200 Kms, 7-8 Hrs)

Post breakfast checkout from hotel and drive to Haridwar via Deopryag (Confluence of Bhagirath & Alaknanda Rivers) Rishikesh, visit Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, Triveni Ghat, Saptrishi aashram etc, and evening drive to haridwar drop.
