Tour Itinerary:
- Day 1: Kathmandu-Arrive in Kathmandu and check into your hotel. Refresh yourselves and then set out to explore the key local attractions starting with a visit to the Pasupatinath temple where newly weds seek blessings for a long and happy married life. Saunter over to the National museum and admire the collection of Paubha scroll paintings and bronze images as well as firearms. The National Numismatic Museum is where you get to see a collection of coins dating back to the 2nd century. The Hanuman Dhoka Palace Museum gives you glimpses into the royal lifestyle of the Shah Kings with the nine-storied durbar impressing all visitors. - Day 3: Chitwan- Chitwan is all about pristine forests so today it is off on a safari trip under canopies of green with sunlight speckling the forest floor. You get to see elephants and other wildlife, take a boat ride on the Narayani or Rapti Rivers. Even if you choose take it easy and just walk, the view is simply enchanting. Return to Kathmandu for rest and prepare for the visit to Patan the next day.
- Day 4: Patan- Patan is also known as Lalitpur and is a lovely area of Kathmandu valley, full of temples with exquisite architecture made up of stone carvings or metal idols. The highlight of the visit to Patan is the Durbar Square, an area populated with palaces built during the Malla Period. From here to the Tibetan Refugee area is traveling into another dimension where the ambience is decidedly Buddhist. You could pick up a hand woven carpet as a souvenir.
- Day 5: Nagarkot- Nagarkot is only a short drive away and is a picturesque little place giving you a lovely view of Mount Everest. Drive back to Kathmandu and get ready to return to Delhi or Mumbai.
